Cleaning. Organising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On my first day, I froze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I told the other girl working there, \u201cNo puedo. don\u2019t quit before trying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Give it one week.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That week changed everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I stayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I learned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I adapted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that home built the foundation of the woman and professional I would become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It taught me discipline, emotional intelligence, class=\"wp-block-heading\">Spain \u2014 Where Vocation Became Identity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Years later, I moved to Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I worked for another family with three children \u2014 again, twins included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The salary was barely enough to survive, but the home was full of kindness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They helped me legalize my papers \u2014 a gift I will be forever grateful for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During that time, I studied Early Childhood Education, which led me to work in nurseries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I learned a lot\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>but I also discovered that I wasn\u2019t meant for institutional childcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The system felt cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The salary didn\u2019t match the responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The emotional connection wasn\u2019t the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I missed being part of a family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I missed raising a child, not supervising a classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s when I understood:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I Islands.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kansas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>London.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">And finally \u2014 Glasgow, my base.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each city gave me a new family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each family gave me a new child to love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each child gave me a new reason to stay in this profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of the families belonged to high-profile environments \u2014 footballers, executives, public figures \u2014 but that never changed my purpose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My job was always love, not luxury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Twins \u2014 The Unexpected Specialisation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I didn\u2019t choose twins \u2014 twins chose me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four sets across different countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each pair taught me precision, patience, and emotional presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Twins demand structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They demand timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They demand calm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And they make you a better professional whether you want it or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Twins didn\u2019t just train me;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>they transformed me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why Parents Trusted Me<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People think nannying is about diapers, naps, or stroller walks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s only 5%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The real work is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul consistency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>being the adult who listens \u2014 truly listens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>forming a bond that shapes who they become<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Parents feel when someone loves their child sincerely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why they trusted me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why they invited me into their homes and lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why This Never Felt Like a Job<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For over a decade, I opened my eyes every morning wanting to work \u2014 not out of obligation, but out of love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Children are not \u201cwork\u201d to nanny is not found in a CV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A great nanny is found in her heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the young immigrant girl who thinks she can\u2019t build a life abroad:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Look at my story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I started with nothing except hunger, courage, and faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the young women considering this path:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do it only if your soul has space to love a child that isn\u2019t yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because the bond will shape both of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Glasgow Became My Home<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After years of movement, the world brought me to Glasgow \u2014 to a family I chose with my whole heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their children are my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are my home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are my \u201cwhy\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will always be grateful for every child that shaped me \u2014 but these children are my family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">My Purpose Now<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, my journey isn\u2019t only mine anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It belongs to the mothers who need guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the girls who dream of becoming international nannies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To parents in high-profile environments who need someone they can trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To immigrants who need proof that everything is possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My story is a roadmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A testimony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A reminder that the right job never feels like work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that love \u2014 real love \u2014 is the strongest training a nanny can
